Intermsoftheair-conditioningindustry,statisticsfromAVCshowthattheomni-channelretailsalesvolumeof China's air-conditioning market was 37.27 million unitsin thefirst halfof 2023,increasingby18.8%year-on-year,andtheretailsalesvaluewasRMB130.2billion,increasingby19.5%year-on-year.Withtheindustrialupgradedrivenbyrelevantpoliciesandtherecoveryofconsumerdemandfortrade-in,theair-conditioningindustryisexpectedtomaintainasteadygrowthtrendinthefuture.Intermsoftherefrigeratorindustry,statisticsfromAVCshowthattheomni-channelretailsalesvolumeofChina'srefrigeratormarketwas14.69millionunitsinthefirsthalfof2023,decreasingby2.6%year-on-year,andtheretailsalesvaluewasRMB47.9billion,increasingby5.2%year-on-year.Aspeoplebecomeincreasinglyconcernedabouthealthandfoodpreservation,andtheupgradetrendoflifequalityiscontinuouslyadvanced,steadydevelopmentandproductupgradewillbecomethemaincharacteristicsoftherefrigeratormarketinthefuture,andhealthfunction,aestheticappearanceanddifferentiateddoorbodywillbecomethenewpremiumdirectionofrefrigeratorproducts.Intermsofthewashingmachineindustry,statisticsfromAVCshowthattheomni-channelretailsalesvolumeofChina'swashingmachinemarketwas15.05millionunitsinthefirsthalfof2023,decreasingby4.6%year-on-year,andtheretailsalesvaluewasRMB47.9billion,increasingby5.2%year-on-year.Thedownturnintheofflinemarketaffectedtheoverallmarket performance of thewashing machine industry.However,with therise of new mediachannelsandtheimprovementofenterprisecostpressure,thehigh-endtrendofthewashingmachinemarketremainedunchanged,andthemarketisexpectedtomaintainastabledevelopmenttrendinthefuture. (II)Thesemiconductorbusiness Currently,theCompanyisengagedinstorage,optoelectronics,etc.withrespecttothesemi-conductorbusiness.Instorage,theCompanyprimarilyengagesinpackaging,testingandmarketingofstorageproducts.Inoptoelectronics,theCompanyprimarilydevelops,producesandmarketsMicroLED-relatedproducts. Thesemiconductorindustryisastrategic,fundamentalandleadingindustrythatsupportseconomicandsocialdevelopmentandsafeguardsnationalsecurity.Amongthem,semiconductorstorageisthelargest subdivision in the semiconductor industry in recent years. At present, South Koreancompanies represented by Samsung and Hynix are in the leading position in the field ofsemiconductor storage. China has also accelerated in boosting the production capacity ofsemiconductorstorageinrecentyears.Itisexpectedthattheself-sufficiencyratewillcontinuetoincrease. MicroLEDistheprevailingtrendanddevelopmentdirectionoffuturedisplaytechnology.Theindustrialchainisdividedintofourmainlinks:upstreamchipmanufacturingandmasstransfer,midstreampanelmanufacturing,anddownstreamcompletemachineapplication.TheMicroLEDhaswideindustrialapplicationandabroadmarket. (III)Thematerialtechnologybusiness Currently, this business focuses on collecting, sorting, processing, distributing and marketingrenewableresources. Withtheintroductionofaseriesoffavorablepoliciestoencouragetherecyclingandutilizationofrenewableresourcesandthecontinuousenhancementofenvironmentalprotectionsupervision,thedevelopmentscaleofthedomesticrenewableresourcerecyclingindustrywillgrowsteadily.(IV)Theindustrytradebusiness The Company's industry trade business mainly focuses on the procurement, processing anddistributionofICchipstorage,LCDandothermaterialsinvolvedinitsconsumerelectronicsandsemiconductor businesses. The operating profit comes from the processing fee and the pricedifferencebetweenupstreamprocurementanddownstreamsales.Theindustrytradebusinesscanhelp the Company establish good relationships with its upstream suppliers and downstreamcustomers,andkeepitinformedofpricesofthematerialsusedinitsproductionforbettercostcontroloveritsexistingproducts.Additionally,itisabletofacilitatethedevelopmentofthesemiconductorbusinessbyhelpingaccumulatecustomerresourcesforthesemiconductorandchipbusiness, provide sales channels, and achieve accurate matching of market demand, with ashortened productdevelopmentperiod andalowerriskofmismatchingofR&D andmarketdemand. IICoreCompetitivenessAnalysis The Company’s core competitiveness lies in its manufacturing ability, R&D ability, brand,marketingnetworkandhumanresources.Intermsofmanufacturingability,theCompanyhascarriedoutintelligentupgradingofmanufacturingbasesinAnhui,Dongguan,Suining,Xinxiang,etc., of which the Anhui Konka plant has been awarded the title of "National IntelligentManufacturingDemonstrationFactory",withanadvancedintelligentmanufacturinglevelintheindustry. IIIAnalysisofMainBusinesses (I)Overview During the Reporting Period, the Company focused on the core businesses of "ConsumerElectronics+Semiconductor",adheredtoprofessionalplatform-basedoperation,implementedleanmanagement,advocatedlong-termvalueandworkedtoimproveitsfinancialresults.Also,effortsweremadetostrengthencompetitivenessinthemarketandacceleratethetransformationfrom"KonkaElectronics"to"KonkaTechnology".TheCompany,duringtheReportingPeriod,promotedbusinessrestructuringbyoptimisingpartofnon-corebusinesswhichfailedtocoordinatewiththemain business and had low gross margin. The scale of the industry trade business droppedsignificantlyyear-on-year,resultinginacertaindecreaseoftheCompany'soperatingrevenue.Affectedbythefollowingfactors,theCompanyrecordedanetlossattributabletoitsshareholdersinthefirsthalfof2023: 1.ThegrossmarginofthecolourTVbusinessdeclinedyear-on-year,duetoshrunkenindustryscale,increasedcostofthesupplychain,theproductsalesstructureintheadjustmentphase.(1)ThedomesticscaleofthecolourTVindustrykeptdecreasing.TherecoveryofthedomesticscaleofthecolourTVindustryinthefirsthalfof2023didnotmeetexpectations.Duetothedecreasedmarketscale,boththerevenueandtotalgrossmarginoftheCompany'scolourTVbusinessinChinafellyear-on-yearinthefirsthalfof2023. (2)TheincreasedcostoftheupstreamsupplychainledtoadecreaseintheCompany'sgrossmargininthecolourTVOEMbusiness:Thefirsthalfof2023witnessedanincreaseintheincomescaleoftheCompany'scolourTVOEMbusiness.Nevertheless,theordersdeliveredintheperiodsufferedfromdecreasedgrossmargin,duetotheincreasedcostoftheupstreamsupplychain,whichresultedinadecreaseinthetotalgrossmarginoftheCompany'sOEMbusiness.(3)TheproductsalesstructureofcolourTVsisintheadjustmentphase.Inordertokeepupwithmarketdemands,forthecolourTVbusiness,theCompanyisgraduallyadjustingitsproductplanningandsalesstrategiestowardhighlyfrequentdemands,suchasbigscreens,highfreshrates,andnewdisplaytechnologies.(Bigscreensarebiggerthan65inches(inclusive).Highfreshratesexceed120Hz(inclusive).ExamplesofnewdisplaytechnologiesareMicroLEDsandMiniLEDs.)Evenso,thesalesscaleandtotalgrossmarginofthecolourTVbusinesswereinfluenced,asnewcolourTVproductswereintheintroductionphaseandmarketingstrategieswereintheadjustmentphaseinthefirsthalfof2023. 2.TheCompany'ssemiconductorbusinesswasstillattheinitialphaseofindustrialisationduringtheReportingPeriod.Inotherwords,theoutputdidnotmeettherequirementsinscaleandbenefits,whichaffectedtheCompany'soveralloperatingprofit. 3.IncomewasgainedfromtheCompany'sprojectsintheindustrialparksinShangraoCity,JiangxiProvince,ShaoxingCity,ZhejiangProvince,andYibinCity,SichuanProvinceinthefirsthalfof2023.TheCompanyreduceditsbusinessinindustrialparksinthisperiod,incombinationofitsdevelopment strategies and the macro-economic environment.
